PM Modi to inaugurate Global Renewable Energy Meet in Gandhinagar

New Delhi: Union minister for new and renewable energy Pralhad Joshi announced that India will host the 4th Global Renewable Energy Investors Meet & Expo (RE-INVEST 2024) from September 16 to 18 at the Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The event, aimed at highlighting India’s achievements in the renewable energy sector, will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.


Addressing the media in Gandhinagar, Joshi said that the conference is expected to attract over 10,000 delegates and will feature 44 sessions, including a Chief Ministerial Plenary and CEO Roundtable. “India is on track to achieve its target of 500 GW of non-fossil power capacity by 2030, and this event will showcase the significant strides we’ve made in the renewable energy sector,” Joshi said.


He informed that partner countries for RE-INVEST 2024 include Australia, Denmark, Germany, and Norway, while states like Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, and Rajasthan are Partner States. The event will also see commitments from state governments and financial institutions on their renewable energy targets.
